Which airport should I fly into?

Lake Garda is conveniently accessible from several major airports.

Below are the nearest options, along with estimated travel times:

 

Verona Villafranca Airport (VRN)
Approximately 22 miles from Lake Garda
40 minutes by car or taxi
1 hour by train // includes a shuttle from the airport to Verona Porta Nuova train station

Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)
Approximately 100 miles from Lake Garda
2 hours by car
2.5 hours by train // direct train, no external bus transfer required

Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE)
Approximately 100 miles from Lake Garda
2 hours by car
2.5 hours by train // includes a short bus transfer from the airport to Venezia Mestre train station

Which train stations should I use when traveling from the airport to the venue?

 

All nearby airports offer convenient train connections to Desenzano del Garda Train Station, the closest station to our wedding venue.

Please note: If you choose to fly into Verona Airport (VRN), it is also close enough to take a taxi directly to your destination.

Train tickets can be purchased at the airport or reserved in advance through the official website: Trenitalia.

Please use the following routes when planning your trip:

From Verona Airport (VRN):

Take a train from Verona Porta Nuova station to Desenzano del Garda station.

From Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP):

Take a train from Milan Centrale station to Desenzano del Garda station.

From Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE):

Take a train from Venezia Mestre station to Desenzano del Garda station.

Upon arrival at Desenzano del Garda station, taxis are available to take you to your final destination.

 

How do I get to the venue once I've arrived to the island of Sirmione?

Please be advised that the historical center of Sirmione, where Villa Cortine Palace is located, is a restricted traffic zone. Guests are kindly asked to plan their arrival at the designated parking area:

From this location, a private shuttle service will be provided to transport you to Villa Cortine Palace.

The shuttles will be waiting around the cashier machines of the parking area with a ROSHNI & MATT sign.

There will be two shuttles running between 12:00pm-3:00pm 

What if I am renting a car?

 

If you plan to rent a car during your stay, please contact Villa Cortine Palace directly in advance to obtain authorization to drive through the limited traffic zone and access the venue without restrictions.

Please note that an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required to drive legally in Italy if your driver’s license is issued outside the European Union. We recommend obtaining your IDP before your trip to ensure a smooth driving experience.

Is Uber in Lake Garda?

Ubers are available in Lake Garda and the surrounding areas but are not as common as they are in the US.
